Hi,
My husband and I are very interested in adding a boxer to our family. We have been researching breeders, but we've come across some poor reviews on several. We are really just looking for a good termperant, preferably female and fawn.

Could someone recommend a few reputable breeders in Ontario. Ideally, we dont want to travel more than 5 hours away. Thank you!

Try going to the CKC website; they have a bunch listed there. But just make sure to do your homework. Aks lots of questions, history on both the sire and dam, health testing, etc. The more questions you ask the better idea of what kind of breeder you are dealing with.

Where in Ontario are you located?

Have you considered rescuing a boxer? Boxer Rescue Ontario is an awesome organization. Google them, they have a great website.

We just got our guy Jack from Biancales Boxers, just north of Hamilton, and we're very happy with them. Might be a bit of a wait for the next available pup, but sometimes waiting is worth it!

breeder in ontario

:emtthumbs:

I highly recommend Tanoak as a breeder - I can contact them 24/7 if I have any questions or concerns. They always respond quickly and with great advice. Anyone who has asked me where I got my boxer has said only good things about Tanoak as a breeder.

I would definately go to them again if I was to get another boxer.

I am glad so far that you have had good results.. but if your fur baby gets a medical issue and they then blame you or report you to spca or CKC then do not be surprised.I have hard copies of all their BS they have put us through.. I am not spouting crap.. I am speaking truth,, they do not health test and is not the puppies fault that"give her back we will put to sleep" is not something I would ever want to happen to another unsuspecting person... Bella in under two months of having her cost well over seven grand for health care.... so when searching for a new fur baby please go to a breeder who health tests their adults and come with well knowledgeable recommendations... is all I am saying... please become educated about what risks are involved when buying from a BYB.... they continued to harrass us until a month ago when I took a letter they sent to an spca in southern Ontario about how I was a neglectful owner neglecting the medical care of my Bella and how they wanted me investigated to my own SPCA and they took copies of her medical treatments in Guelph and told me to not worry about Tan oak since it seemed to her like they were trying to hide something.. and would protect her form them if need be....

How coincidental that the post from April Lee showed up right after the mention of that "breeder"... seems very suspicious to me!
Sasasola what are you talking about,, maybe I can clue in,, I am so lost that this has been opened up again.. I never outlined the whole issue with Tanoak but in reality it is quite in depth and only a few people really know how in depth it really is.... I love my Bella and do not regret her in one iota but they continue to breed knowing Bellas issues are genetic

I've noticed 3 posts recently by people recommending certain breeders that most of would consider to be a BYB. They've just posted that one post and that's it. Hmmmmmm.... certainly does make you wonder.

Bella's Biggest Fan - I mean that I find it strange that this "April Lee" with only 1 comment would show up praising that "breeder" after your last comment. Don't you find that odd? Looks like spam to me!!

Yep ,, I do find it strange that that is the only post so far but that thread is from feb ... so a long time ago.... I love my Bella but will never recommend tham as a breeder ever,, I had people pm me about tanoak when i first got bella on here and I was not attacked by Tanoak at that time,, they are great of your dog you get from them is healthy otherwise watch out... I pray we are done with their drama and just want my bella to spend whatever time she has happy and here with us.... so Tanoak can kiss my butt.. cause next time will charge with harrassment.... them telling me I am neglectful yet they are the ones who said ,, in hard copy to not take her to vet for her mass nor her stumbling all over the place.. when we said she was getting MRi said they do not do experiments on their dogs... I told them i was shocked they cared so little about the dogs that come from there... like i said long story but never again.. I have my healthy breeder and will never turn back...

I've noticed it's picked up also. Disappointing definitely. Maybe it's to get business for the upcoming holiday season

Breeder change

Hi there,

If anyone has any additional information as to breeder information, please let us know.

We have never had a boxer before and we are wanting to make sure it comes from a reputable breeder that did all the necessary steps to ensure a happy "Puppy-hood".

Thank you so much! **fingers crossed a male brindle puppy is in our future**:)

Hello There, I can only speak about Kaco Boxers as i have two from Kaco. Kaco is the only breeder I would get a Boxer from, I did my research and the minute I had contact with them I knew immediately this is where i would get a puppy from. They are honest, upfront and truly care about the betterment of the breed. They actually health test and the support you get from Kaco is one of a kind! I not only gained beautiful boxers that people stop us on the street for, I gained a new family thanks to great community of owners that Kari has set up.

Riley, Bentley & Charlotte!!
