I put Littlefoot out in the fence after we got home today so she could play and go potty. I went back in the house and started putting things away when I hear something at the door. I am thinking what on earth is that. I walk toward the door and see a head it is Littlefoot standing looking in the door. I let her in and go outside to see if the gate was open. No open gate, so I go and look around the fence and I do not see anyway she could of gotten out. So I start thinking one of the kids from down the street had to open the gate and let her out. As I am walking back to the deck I remember there is latitce around the one side and by the steps. I look and I see some broke in one spot but no hole where she could of gotten out. I look by the steps and see where she bulldozed the lattice and made her freedom.
Now we are going to have to replace it with new lattice or get something heavier so she does not do it again. I am just happy she knew to come on the deck. My smart puppy even knocked on the door. I am so proud of her. (but a little mad that she got out) Can't stay mad at that face for long.
Anyone else have problems keeping there boxers in the yard?

No, no loose ones here.  They do try to dig under our fence though.  We usually catch them in time.  I told OH that we are going to put bricks right under the fence so they won't be able to dig there.

Maybe you can reinforce the lattice with a small strip of wood across the bottom?  Just an idea.

I'm glad she made her way to your door and not anywhere else!  I often let them out and go back in and put things away too.

Tia was my only escape artist, she scaled a 6 ft fence til we figured out how, then fixed it....I'd put something around the bottom of the lattice to keep her from getting out. But Good Girl Littlefoot for making it to your back door.

i had to put electric fence wire around the top and 3 different heights of level approximately 3 feet in from the actual fence. It wasnt to keep Zeus in it was becaus eof Dante hurdling the fence. Zeus knew that i fed him so he wanted to stay where the food was at. Since then i havent had any problems with him jumping it.

She has never tried to jump our fence or dig under it. I never thought about having problems with the lattice b4 today. We do have dig hole in other parts of the yard from here. lol
Until it is fixed she will be able to go out when someone is with her to make sure she does not sneak out of the yard again.
I wounder if she knew the bad storm we had was coming and she did not want to be in the yard.

Actually today my dad was working in the backyard and going back and forth from the yard to the garage so he was leaving the gate open.  He said, "if the dogs need to go out either tie them up or walk them".  Well Astro had to go out so I tied him out.  My dad went into the garage and I heard Astro crying (he always cries when he can't see anyone).  A few minutes later, I still heard him crying except a lot louder.  I was thinking to myself, "boy he cries really loud".  Something told me to look outside and there is Astro, sitting on the deck crying at the door for someone to let him in. He still had his collar on and I checked the leash.  I still have no idea how he got loose.

If Tink is in the car you HAVE to attach the lead to her harness because she can unattach the lead from her collar in about 5 seconds flat.  One minute she'll be in the boot looking at you over the back seat, next she's trying to wriggle in between the front seats.

Muddytonix, you could try putting some chicken wire over the latticework, that should definitely stop Littlefoot busting through it again.

Grrrr, Tink and Hector (although I rather suspect Tink was the ringleader) bulldozed through the chicken wire around my vegetable patch yesterday and tore up all my lettuce and carrots!  They were immature so there was nothing for them to eat, but they killed every single one of the plants!  I'm absolutely gutted  :(
