Since Blitzens arrival we've been wondering about spots too 
She has fawn parents and so far all I can find are 3 tiny,tiny fawn specks. Two on her right ear and one on her right leg. What's weird though is her muzzle and below her eyes. The hairs are white at the root and a reddish/fawn color at tips??? I wonder what markings she'll grow into? By comparison Donner has black spots on his belly that have darkened as he got older so, you may be right about the brindles being dominant "darkening"
