We picked up Tyson today and we've noticed his nose looks a little snotty and sometimes we can hear when he breathes through his nose. I wasn't sure if it was a boxer thing or not.
Those are the only symptoms we have noticed. He is playful eating and drinking. His poop is maybe a little soft, not really runny but jello like consistency. What is kennel cough?
i would say either kc or upper respitory...but i would have a vet check it out just in case. Reese had an upper respitory infectino when she came home.
if he is not coughing then it is probably not kennel cough. kennel cough is a coarse, dry, hacking cough,it sounds almost as if the dog needs to clear his throat. extra exercise and activity would make it more noticeable.maybe upper respiratory like Andrea said.good luck at the vet, hope it is nothing serious. let us know what happens!
No runny nose is not normal. Boxers noses are normally dry, they are not wet all the time like most dog. They usually just breath normal it does not sound funny at all unless they have a cold.
Yes most rep breeders require a Vet visit within 72 hours of taking possesion of the pup. I would also on your vet visit bring in a stool sample as well. This just rules out any parasites that can cause problems later on.
Hope he is feeling better and does good at the vet!!
Yeah I always recommend stool samples on first vistit
