my last boxer Sexy used to love ice cubes but she would puke for some reason after eating a few; so I stopped giving her some...I haven't given any to Gaby yet, don't really want to clean up puke

Allie likes it, but instead of chewing she just licks it and flicks it around the floor.  I don't give it to her too much unless it is hot out.  Another thing to do with your ice cube trays:  mix peanut butter and yogurt together, fill the ice cube trays, and freeze them.  Allie likes her peanut butter yogurt drops.

Ollie loves ice, too. I only started giving it to him when he comes home from daycare b/c he would gulp the water and then vomit. They recommended that so he gets a few pieces. He loves it. It's like a toy, b/c he flings it around the kitchen and then eats it.

Lulu loves ice.    I put some in their water bowl the other day since it was so warm.  Lulu didn't know what to think at first, then I guess she thought it was a game and started bobbing for ice cubes.   All 4 of mine think ice is a treat.    8)

We discovered that Duke likes ice on our last camping trip.  DH dropped a couple of small pieces while filing a cup, and Duke scarfed them up.  We don't give our dogs ice - they could chip their teeth, just like humans can.

I really didn't realize that it could chip their teeth until someone brought it up. I might try freezing a butter tub or something like that so he will lick it instead of chewing on it! Then when it gets small enough where he can chew it, throw it away.
