Do you use a dog sweater during the winter when you walk your boxer? If so at what temperature do you begin to use it.

For short periods of time Struddell was good for short walks in snow and ice down to 32 degrees. Less, than 20 minuets or so no issues. If we were out longer than that ... I'd suit her up as it were. Boxers are not all weather dogs. :)

My GSD, on the other hand??? LOL now that is an all weather Breed! Weather did not phase him at all, we would go on night time walks in the worst of storms! No loose dog encounters to be had on those outings. :)

Think it all depends on the dog. I know a general rule is they don't like the extremes of hot/cold.

My guy doesn't like the heat. Loves the cold and thinks snow is the best thing ever. Yesterday he was out in the snow for at least an hour playing, and I had to drag him inside cause I was getting cold. Checked his ears and paws a couple times while we were out and they were warm.
