May I ask who you use? I might have a suggestion for an alternate.

i would tell her that you need it before two and if she cant make that accommodation then you may need to find someone else. It is a lot of money for K and H to be sitting cooped up for 7 hours and then go out a couple hours before you get home to let them out again.

Heather didnt you have this same issue with her a few months ago? and talked to her? thats ridiculous they are alone and its already 230 and she sitll hasnt shown up..thats not fair to the dogs and not worth the money....if she so relies on this money then youd think shed pay more attention to doing the job shes paid to do ..you all dont have a money tree and work very hard for the money you have..

Yes and she was running late.  I just told her very nicely that if something comes up - just let me know on my cell you are running late.   If its really late, I can make a call and have someone over there - no biggie but just need my kids to have that afternoon break.   Because if its after 2:30 no sense in hiring anyone!

Our dog walker is $20 a day for an hour walk.  Requires 24 hour notice of cancelation.  Shows up same time everyday at 11:30-noon.

Sounds like she knows your schedule and is getting there in her time frame and not yours. You are paying her to do a job she is not doing and to me she is taking advantage of you.

I know maybe calling you for info on your dog walker!!! ha ha ha ha.  Mine is normallly pretty good. I have two dogs so cannot complain about 25/ per day with two, then I pay her 20/for one on the days that Mr.Nibs goes to daycare.  One more month and my cousin spends the summer with us and is the doggie nanny!!!

I remember when you were having issues before too.
Its not nice to think like this, but what if she comes that late every day?
I guess it will be a non-issue next month, but what about this fall?
Is there any way to tell what time she comes everyday? Or is this really a once in a while issue?

I have my aunt downstairs who is home all the time - she monitors her and says she is very good.  Its hard to trust someone with keys to your house. I really really like her, but need to be consistant with times.   Only a month and a half left. so not going to worry too much - I told her needs to be earlier and think it will work out!!  But man, its like having an employee!! ha ha ha

I fired one before her because she never came one day.  We got her an xmass give and she have my dogs nada - not too cool.  She was 30.00 per visit for one Dog (holy rape).

Screw that! You are paying her for a service. If you leave at 7, then I would say she should be there no later than noon. Doesn't it make you wonder if she even shows up sometimes? How would you know? $460 a month is a lot of money. Hmm...maybe I should look into doing this for people in the neighborhood. Get 3 or 4 family's....that's a good income for walking dogs!

I'd give her one last shot at it with set hours. Getting paid when she doesnt even walk the dogs? I can see if you called to cancel 2hrs before hand. At the start of the day seems fair, but should be the day before. Other than that its not fair to have to pay when you dont need her. Bless her heart, I know she probably doesnt mean any harm.

No she always comes - we have a note book to write back and forth.   She will be fine and trust me I had to interview dogwalkers and some of the people creeped me out.  There was one dude who had 4 of those hot dog dogs, came over for an interview and first impression wanted me to say "NO" just like on that stupid Nexxt MTV dating show.   I was freaked out.

She is good, just need to be more punctual and made my point.   Its not too many people I can trust with keys to my house and that they allow.  I try to keep the pack happy. ha ha ha ha.
