Hey folks,
Now that we have 2 dogs, poop is becoming a problem. Used to use doggy bags and put them in the trash. Now, I'm rethinking to do some kind of compost thing.

There are 3 kinds:
  1. Chemical/Septic tank style (think Doggie dooley)
    Pet Waste Composting

  2. Normal (heat + compost materials)

  3. Vermicomposting (heat + compost materials +red wriggle worms)

Has anyone successfully done any of the above? Any of them, you recommend? We have a section that we allow the pups to poop (small, gravelly, so its hard to clear, getting smelly), but its just getting outta control, and I think we're all due for a change lol

I have never heard of the composting thing, I hope you don't have any neighbors close by if you try this (LOL) I have two boxers and as we all know they poop ALOT! I just pick mine up and throw it in the trash I know from experience if I don't pick it up immediately that will be the first area they run thru. The gravel area should let urine and yuckies go thru but I would assume it would end up smelling like you said. Maybe wash down the area with a hose and pet safe cleaner? I wouldn't know what to suggest but I have never heard of composting.
