we live in the northeast and it's starting to get cooooooold out. tessie hates the rain and cold, and i can only imagine what life is going to be like when it starts snowing (which could be tomorrow!). does anyone have any suggestions of how to dress our big friends for the winter to make them more comfortable? tessie loves to go for walks, but the cold is really making her miserable. she's about 40 pounds and growing fast and i haven't found anything that fits her properly and comfortably that's useful.

We live in the northeast and its beginning to look alot like Christmas! Donner wears a horse blanket style coat, in fact just bought him a larger size! He's not crazy about sticking his legs through sleeves so this style works well for him. Pic is of his coat thats already too small. Will try to get pic of new coat later

I do use sweatshirts. Took a couple of Marq's, cut the sleeves off and make a couple adjustments. Dr Fosters has some really nice ones, reasonable, I just didn't think they would be big enuf especially for Samson as he has such a deep chest :) The coats tho would be better for outside, plus some boots to protect their feet if they will be out in the snow or ice much

Got the x-large from Dr Fosters, really liked them but they were too tight through the chest and shoulders on Kiah but she is pretty big.  They don't carry xx-large.

I use the horseblanket style on Sadie and it keeps her toasty. She doesn't mind wearing it at all. We live in Canada where it gets FREEEEZINNNG!! So we needed to get something for her! The old Navy ones look cute, I'll have to go have a look at those  :)
