Jinx and Logan have started eating mulch.  Everytime I take them out for potty they do their business then run straight to the mulch.  I'm worried that it will cause a blockage or something.  Eating mulch can't be healthy.  Does anyone have a suggestion?

I would worry if its chemically treated.  Tip - carry a squirt bottle out with you when you go potty.  If they run for it, then squirt them with water.  Hoepfully it will deter them for the bahavior.  We had to do that with the white rocks round the pool area.

No thank goodness.  Our mulch is from a friend who runs a landscaping business that only uses "green" products.  It doesn't last as long but I feel better about using it.  I'm really worried about blockages though.  Jinx is really bad about eating anything and everything!  I swear they are worse about putting stuff in their mouth than my toddler is!  LOL!

My nephews golden eats mulch all the time, they have never been able to stop her.  They are always careful with the mulch they put down knowing that she will probably eat it.

Tyson loves mulch!  I do my best to try and stop him, but he will always have some hidden in his lips after I bring him inside!!!

Bowser is a HUGE fan of mulch!!  I'm always finding it in his water bowl, or on the floor where it falls out of his baggy mouth!  I don't know how to stop him either.  Someone told me he does it because he's bored.  If someone knows of a way, please let me know!!

It can be a puppy thing that they will grow out of.  Mine will eat sticks and stones when they are little and Talia is still into the stick somewhat tho usually just to chew them up.  She does love rabbit poop however.  I think I will quit buying do food and just fill her dish up with that!  I just don't leave her out in the yard unless I am out there with her and then I use the "enough" command to get her to stop eating it.

Chloe used to eat mulch all the time when she was a pup and it never hurt her in anyway. But like Nano said Chloe did grow out of it.
