I don't know what the technical term is, the fiance calls it eye boogers, but it seems lately that we are cleaning Bruce's eye's alot more than usual.  We just recently changed his diet from Pedigree Puppy to Canidae.  Would that have anything to do with it?  I don't mind wiping his eyes, it just seems its more frequent than usual.  Thanks.

Just as long as it is not green - green usually indicates infection.

Sometimes stuff in the air, dust etc.   My dogs are on raw and even get eye booies.  Since you just switched give it about 4-6 weeks for changes within the system to happen.  Until then just use some eye wipes and hopefully the diet will clean them up.

Thanks for the info.
Yes eye gunk is normal. If you do notice a huge increase in how much Bruce is producing then maybe get it checked. Sadie recently had an infection and we could tell by teh amount of gunk coming out of her eyes increased...we were wiping every hour rather than once/day...also there was some redness....the gunk was not green though. So I would say, if the increase in gunk is accompanied by redness then I'd have it looked at...if not, than it's most likely normal.

I've switched foods a bunch of times and Oggie still gets them.  The vet told me it's pretty common and to just wipe it away as much as possible
Bruce gets them a bit, but I've never noticed it being really bad...and now it's a bit hard to monitor because when we're not looking the cat cleans them...it's so digusting but I don't know how to stop her when we're not around
