Mack is 6 and I am looking for suggestions on feeding frequency and when to walk regarding the possibility of having bloat issues.

I do the food is a reward for walking method. Drum and I do 1 hour walks or shorter in the a.m. and he knows that food is his reward for working (walking). First he gets praise for being a good boy on his walk and then he waits while I prepare his food. Similar routine with shorter walk or dog park time in the p.m. He now expects to be rewarded for a job well done on his walks.

Feed raw, remove the risk of bloat :)

If feeding kibble, exercise first...wait until all panting has stopped prior to offering food/water.

The worst thing I see people do is allow their dogs to get a big drink while they are huffing/puffing/playing. Remove water, wait for their breathing/panting to pretty much stop before placing it back down. Also, no exercise immediately after eating. Allow a good 2 hrs after meals.
