Female Humping

Maddie does this to my 7 year old daughter. It definitely is a dominance thing, and something I put a stop to the moment I see it happening. I just have to say "Maddie No" and she will stop. She doesn't do it too often, but like I said, I put a stop to it quickly, and am working with my daughter to have her put a stop to it when Maddie does this to her.
I don't know if it gets better after they are spayed, because I got Maddie after she was spayed. As long as you discourage the behavior immediately, I don't think she will be humping very long.  :wink:

Oh, don't feel bad about losing your place as the pack leader. I am the biggest pushover! It's so easy to let that happen with these big goofs.  :lol:  I am quick to remind her of her place though!  :wink:

derrick, sumya still humps mine and my husabnd legs, sometimes after we push her off and correct her she will walk around "air humping " for a minute or so  :roll: .like you said just nip in the bud as soon as it happens.stubborn boxer babies!!

i don't know what i would do if I saw Binga do that    8O     i have heard of females doing it.  bear started doing it, but we are quick to stop him.

everyone has given great advice.  like everyone said "nip it in the bud!"  

Pepper my first dog and Nikki who is 12 years old have done this and STILL do this. Though not to me or anyone else. Pepper use to but we stopped it. Nikki has only ever done this to "stuffed animals". lol She's definitely an alpha female but I've never seen her try and do it to any dog or person but maybe cuz' she's so little? lol Kyrie tried a couple of times to hump Odin while they were wrestling. Nikki is hilarious though! lol

Both of my girls do it and i actually think it's kind of funny, so i don't do anything but sing the "humpty-dance" song to them (remember the '90's?).  I figure, they're girls so I won't get any "surprises".  Max hasn't tried this yet, and being a boy, he will not get the free hump like they do!  At least Roxy gives me kisses.

Thanks for all the feedback - Thinking back a few weeks now I can see that she first started to wrap her legs around my legs but dad never got this first clue! Last night she did the hip motion or as Doodle-Doggie puts it the "humpty dance". :lol:  During these couple weeks she has been testing more and more so now I can see why!

Since correcting her last night twice sternly, this morning she is acting more submissive...
