Well Ajax got his first months worth of flea control yesterday and today we noticed that there is a red burn like area on his back towards his left back leg.  when we put the flea control on him he moved and a spot got where the area is now.  We wiped as much as the liquid off when it happened but now he keeps wanting to scratch the area even more.  We have put Dog anti-ich cream that we used for attila's cuts on his paws from winter.  Is it possible for it to be a burn from the flea control?  The vet didnt notice it when doing the checkup, he has a full clean bill of health they said.  I will contact and visit vet later this morning to ask what they think might be the issue.  I think that his skin just reacted to too much flea control in one area, because the box says it can cause irritation if too much is in one location.

That is probably what did happen.  Did you try to wash off the spot before it went into the hair follicles?  Hope it gets better soon and that he is settling in well with the others.  He's a cutie.
