OK, so Henry likes to spend almost 24/7 outside.  Now that the weather is warming up, the flies are getting out of control.
Anyone know of a good fly spray that isn't stinky or sticky?

do you mean for your yard Z?

if so we bought these plastic jug things...at home depot..and you put water in there and a bait pack..WOW the flies are lamost non existant...its amazing and they are cheap..dump out and change bait and water like every 2 weeeks..

got these b/c nothing worked !

Yea, what Ky mentioned, they are the bomb!! We used them religiously in Cali and worked wonders...Something else you can do, go to any nursery or Home Depot, pick up a few pots of mint, scatter them around on your deck, patio wherever, I found that they work extremely well regarding those pesky flies and we get tons in the summer as well

If you are talking about a spray to put ON Henry, go to a tack shop (for horses/livestock) and pick up a bottle of fly spray there. The problem is that most of them if not all will have a smell to them since thats what keeps the flies away. Good luck!

We got some stuff from Tractor Supply but it's really stinky!  Maybe we'll try the bait in water thingies.  But how do you keep the dog from drinking the bait water?

Zhanna, they hang up..I used to put them on the corners of the patio and the gutters down the side of the house....Try the mint too, as it's natural, just get a few pots and either set out or hang

they are enclosed..covered little jugs...white with a green top..mine hang on the top of our fence

Are the bait jugs for house flies or mosquitoes?

Patti, I actually saw some for like wasps, and such as well...Don't think they make them for skeeters....Here's a site that I have referred to to use natural remedies and has some good stuff about skeeters as well

I for years now use Avon..Skin So Soft...It is for people,but it repells flies and smell great!It is oil..they sell it in the bottle or as wipes.Never hurt the dogs and they had nice shiny coat!

Thanks for the info, Willow. We have lots of mosquitoes as we have a slow moving river behind our house. We use a natural citronella & rose hip spray on Otis for fleas & ticks, but it doesn't seem to have an affect on the skeeters  :?

I bet some garlic in the food would also help with the skeeters...They are already starting to make their presence felt here
