Foods you share

My crew are pretty good eaters and I give them lots of things that I eat, but I don't limit it to just fruits and veggies.
Like olives, pickles, potato chips (just one  ), toast, eggs...you get the idea.

I guess I don't really share, or rather my fiancee doesn't, b/c he doesn't want them begging. But, as far as human food we give them cottage cheese, yogurt, apple slices, and I may "drop" some turkey occassionally or part of a pb sandwich :) Oh and they love ice, I guess I do share that with them. They follow me around when I have a glass of ice water, b/c they know they will get some.
 Oh the dreaded begging.  I always feed from raised bowls in the kitchen and drop their extras in there or they eat the fruit outside.  Don't need to encourage the ants around my place.

I also freeze fruit (whole or chunks) suspended in water in freezer bags and let them enjoy that outside as well.  Cools them off on very hot days. Things like marrow bones they eat in their crates.
Bread and cheese are really the only things i share willingly... everything else is because it was dropped
I usually reward Kane for laying on the floor and not begging at the table with something from the table, usually a piece of steak, hamberger or cooked meat, but just a taste.  Sophie's not big enough to beg yet (yeah), but she gets a little bit of cooked hamburger too.  This is not sharing really, cuz I don't eat it, but I dip apple slices in peanut butter and give it to them.
I add a lot of stuff to their food, yogurt, scrambled eggs, green beans, carrots, sardines(ugh), bananas & apples. Occasionally I'll give them a bit of chicken or turkey and a little bit of cheese....All in their bowl, unless Marq starts feeding from the table...
Savannah and Reese dong beg, but you know they want to :) they just have that look on their face as we are eating!!  We put cottage cheese in almost every meal they get right now. they also get pb sandwiches, plums, nectarines, eggs (sometimes a raw one most of the time cooked) breakfast sausage and when i grill they get one or two little slices of grilled chicken, hamburger or steak. one time they got into my bf's leftover taco bell and Reese had a dandy of a team eating a burrito while Savannah got a taco. They didnt feel so well afterwards, but they sure looked proud of themselves.Their favorite in the whole world though is the HOTDOG!! one rolled off the plate i was putting them on when i took them off the grill. i broke it in half and gave both girls a piece. they went nuts!!
Probably the one thing I can think of that my two will turn down is mashed potatoes and gravy.  I really thought that would be a treat for them.  No, they both turned their noses up and walked away!!

I give them eggs regularly, hamburger or other meats on occasion, all kinds of veggies, yogurt, macaroni, and I have to admit even if it's not good for them, they LOVE a vanilla ice cream cone.  This I will give them rarely, since sugar is not good.  But they'll gobble it up in a heartbeat and have white beards dripping down.  It's so funny!!

Thanks I just pm'ed you for that recipe.  No I have not heard of this frosty paws, but I'm going to look for it next time I go to the store, mine really like vanilla ice cream so much.  They've never gotten diarrhea from it, either.  I just know the sugar's not good for them.  Thanks for the info!!
There is a section in the forum for doggy recipes, that would be a good place to post it also.

You're right!  I went there and found a recipe already there. Here's the link.

Is giving your boxers this stuff good for them?  Ares has never had a piece of human food in his life.  I feel bad sometimes, but he doesn't beg, he's healthy, and he always eats all of his dog food.

I'm afraid he'd start begging or that he would start to become a picky eater if he started tasting good stuff like hamburgers and all that.
i give glaicer some stuff and she still eats her puppy food and dont mind it all and i do give her a bite of vanilla ice cream but not more then that at all cause i know that the its very cold and i herd that cold isnt good unless its an ice cube lol.

Nothing that doesn't go directly into his bowl.   Or pretty much anything that does go directly into his bowl.
