Do you think we should put a photo album up in the gallery just for available rescue
dogs?

If we do it, I'll need updates on the rescues to help manage this portion of the site.

i think that wwe should put information as to where the local rescue is at.

as for giving up the dog, as much as I want to sometimes, I don't think it should be promoted unless absolutely neccessary. As in you're moving, and can't take them with you.

The local rescue information idea is great. I'll see if I can put something together.

I want Boxer rescues to be able to promote the dogs they are trying to find good homes for. This would only be for Boxer rescues, not owners looking to get rid of their dogs.

Hi there. Not really sure about posting rescue dogs here (we already have to maintain our own site, and the petfinders site), and I don't know that I would be enough on the ball to remember to let somebody know to change status or add.....I forget petfinder's half the time. LOL

However, links to the individual reputable rescue sites would be helpful to people, I think.

HI - I think that having the available rescue dogs on the site here is a great idea. I know that it's tough to always follow through updating them all, but maybe we can set up some kind of a quick email system to the moderator for that forum topic? Then the mod for that topic can change them - or something like that!
I am always looking for ways to get my rescue's out there and I prefer going to people that know about the breed.....

Check the photo gallery out. I could create an album just for rescue dogs. Each rescue could have their own album below the main rescue album and each photo could have the dog's info. I could give rights to certain users from boxer rescues to be able to update, edit and delete photos.

Ok, the Boxer Rescue album has been created. All I need now is a volunteer and I'll create the sub-album for your rescue. If you have a logo for your rescue, you could have this as your album cover.

I agree... When jessie gets a bit older we are planning on getting another boxer.  I made the mistake of getting her from a BYB.  So i'd like to rescue next time.
