Well my puppy got spayed today...and all went well. Thanks to all that told me about ACE. I would've had no idea! She's still pretty sleepy, but the Humane Society did a great job for a decent price! She won't eat yet, but she doesn't seem to be in pain. Thank goodness I have everything done now!

Glad things went well and it is not unusual for them to not eat the same day as surgery and sometimes not eat much or well the next day...but by the 2nd day the anesthesia is out of their system and things should be back to normal!!!!!

what did they send home for pain? If it is Rimadyl or Previcox then you can put some peanut butter on it and just push it down her throat (if she wont eat it) the PB coating will keep her from getting nauseated.

I had to spoon feed Zoie some food to get her to eat....Maybe wrap it in some cheese or a clump of peanut butter...

Glad it went well....She will more than likely be back to normal real soon, a lot sooner than we would like

Glad everything went well.  We fed Hanna some baby cereal with some honey mixed in.    Bland diet, but gentle on the tummy!
