My friend has a Female Boxer(spayed) that is about 5 years old. Today she called me and told me that Ebony(the boxer) has 3 growths on her gums. She has a vet appointment today, but as you can imagine she is very worried about her. Has anyone ever had these or seen them?

They're probably fibromatous epulides, they're rather common in the breed but are benign; at five years old I'd probably have them removed, as they can become uncomfortable for the dog.  There are some oral cancers, so of course the vet visit is a good idea, but these are far less common than the epulides.

Yup thats what they are. She just called me to tell me. She is having them removed on Friday. Thanks for the information
