Hair Loss

I'm a newbie to the forum. I searched previous posts about hair loss, but could not find a match to my issue. I have a 10 month female spayed boxer. I noticed 3 weeks ago that she started losing hair behind her ears on both sides. Now it's slowly inching down the upper side of her neck. I heard of seasonal flank, but not sure if this is the case. I got her in August when she was 3 months old, and never had an issue with her hair. Her coat is always healthy and shiny. She does not have any other bald spots or patches on her body.

Do boxers go through this? Has anyone ever had this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it?

May not be food related. Have you recently switched cleaning products in the house? My Henry used to have some probs. More with skin than hair. Vet said he was allergic to something. So I switched my household cleaning products to "all natural" type. Cleared him right up. Not sure where you are, but there's a brand of cleaning products called Method. It's sold in Target stores. Works really well.
