Hi, I am visiting here just to interact with other boxer owners. Currently, I don't have a boxer-- I have a Golden Retriever, but I'm looking to adopt one from a local shelter. :) I figured that the best thing for me to do, after I researched, was to talk with owners of this beautiful breed.

Many warm wishes to you are yours! :)

Welcome to the forum...We have quite a few Canidian's on here as well, they may be able to give you some tips on where to look, i also believe in the Rescue section there is a post on Boxer Rescues in Canada :) Boxers & Goldens, my 2 favorite breeds :)

Thank you! :) Right now, I've got my sights set on a beautiful reverse brindle male. He's a year old and from what the shelter says, he's very friendly. If he's already adopted, I'll certainly be searching elsewhere because I am adamant that my next furkid will be a boxer and a rescue!

Welcome to the forum, you won't regret rescuing.  Beware, Boxers are addicting.
Oh boy... if they are as addictive as goldens are, I think I'm in for trouble!  :p Not to mention, my husband has every intention of picking himself up a Newf pup sometime next year. Thank god we have the room for all these dogs! Feeding them is going to be so expensive, I might have to take out a second mortgage. Lol and I'll love every minute of it! Dogs are a passion my husband and I feel deeply about. We love them too much to just have one... Two is company but three is a party!

OMG Newfies are AMAZING.. the one we know is named Moses... perfect name
My husband had one as a child... his name was Bear. They only negative thing my hubby would say about them is that they drooled incessantly. :p

I think dogs are like tattoos and lay's chips-- you can't have just one.

This is my baby boy.

We are on our second boxer,  When we decided on a Boxer we thougt Boxer Rescue, but when we called they asked us if we ever had a boxer before, we said no and they would not give us a rescued boxer because they wanted them to go to people that knew the breed.  So we decided to just get a puppy, glad we did.  If you are up to it puppys are the way to go.  Boxer are wonderful and very trainable dogs. You will not be dissapointed.
