So Monday Duke had a raised bump on his head the next day it opened and it's a very angry looking red it bled slightly on Tuesday and hasn't bled since. Its just very red and prominent. All research leads to a histiocytoma, I have a vet appointment on Monday..do they require surgery more often or do they go away? It looks wet from me applying an otc antibiotic cream, its not pussing. Here is a picture

Any bump that shows up suddenly needs an evaluation. A MCT also often resembles a histiocytoma. I hope it is a benign histio. They usually resolve on their own within a couple of months.

Aww poor Duke, hope it is not a big deal. Kai was limping some last week, I told my daughter she let his nails get too long. So she is trying to shorten them but he now hates his nails being trimmed.
