Re: Hives question.. help!
Just an update on Chloe.
All 5 vets there are stumped on what is causing the redness. They took blood to check and see if she had canine anaplasmosis, something they get from a tick bite and can cause a red rash but that came back negative. They did a fine need aspirate on the sore she has on her chest and there were no signs of it being cancer.
I showed him the spot we just found on her back last night and they used a needle on that also. Under the microscope that is showing signs of a mast cell tumor

OR just a allergic reaction to a bug bite.
Just when I thought I couldn't get any more bad news they also heard a heart murmur. They are going to give it one week for the spot on her back to go away, giving her benadrayl 3 times a day along with Animax ointment. If it's still there in a week they want to take both spots off and send them to Cornell University. But before all this can be done I have to bring her to a heart specialist on July 23rd to perform a echocardiogram to see how severe her heart murmur is and to make sure it's safe for her to have the lumps surgically removed.
Chloe was a little trooper thru the whole ordeal today..giving everyone kisses and her little nubby going crazy. All the vet techs and dr's were so proud of her.
I'm praying for the best because I'm already crying like crazy and we aren't even sure yet that it's cancer. Her vet said it's a 50/50 chance. I don't know how I'll handle it if it is. Please keep Chloe in your prayers, she's going to need it.
