I just noticed tonight Brodi is really red between all of his toes. I have no idea what this could be. He hasn't got any new treats and we feed him raw. He isn't licking them and doesn't seem to bother him but it's really bothering me cause just by the looks of it and it being between every single toe. Any idea's??

As you can see even after messing with his feet it didn't bother him any lol

Yea I would have said an allergy, but with the raw feeding, I just don't know..Yeast perhaps? I wonder if you could use a bit of Neosporin on it..It won't hurt if he licks it...Had to laugh at that last pic, he's totally zonked, could care less what you do

If it is yeast which alot of times it is because between the toes stays moist after they lick it to death....you can try some Monostat cream (yeast infection cream) and see if that helps....if not try soaking his feet in a solution of Selsem Blue Shampoo abd water :)

It looks like Maddies feet! Only hers get really red, almost purple and hers get swollen too. I really think it is a yeast issue, and would heed Sharons advice. Also, watch his ears, because it can spread to or from the ears by scratching. Maddie usually gets it in the ears, feet, and chin. Not fun!

Well good thing I don't have to be to work until 12 because his feet look worse this morning. Now his ears, around his eyes and chin are getting pretty red. I'm gonna go buy the shampoo and try that. I have some Lamasil cream here back when we thought Chloe had ringworm will that work? or do I need to get monostat cream?  Can yeast infect around their eyes also? If so how do you treat it ? Never a dull moment with 2 boxers..if it's not poopy problems it's lump problems if it's not lump problems it's yeast problems...

Yeah, it does sound like a yeast issue.  :(  For the chin, I use Oxy Pads. The ears I just clean them out once a week with an ear cleaner that contains tea tree oil. That seems to work the best that I've found so far. Around the eyes, I would just use an unscented baby wipe or just a wet washcloth.
I'm not sure on the Lamisil cream. When Maddie gets really bad with the chewing and licking I usually spray her feet with a cortisone spray and then when she is sleeping I will put the Monistat on them. That will usually settle her for a bit.
It's always something with these guys!

Tyson had that issue as well! Those pictures look exactly like Tyson's did.  Anyways, we took him to the vet b/c there was a bump that was starting to form in between one of his toes.  The vet gave us some drops to use...we had to soak his paw first then apply the drops.  (Try getting a boxeer to sit while you soak his paws! Not easy)  But it did help.

I don't want to hijack this thread...I was on here searching for info on ear infections and found this.  Jaxon also gets real red in between his toes..we assumed it was because he licks and licks and licks them.  This morning while I was bathing him I noticed one of his ears is really red and irritated and he has some blackish discharge.  I cleaned it out and it's noticably sore.  Wonder if he has yeast between the toes and spread to his ear or they are seperate issues?  He's not head shaking or stratching that ear.  I flipped it up after his bath and amazingly he left it be for over an hour.

The Lamasil wont work because it is for fungal infections....it has to be a yeast cream and the human one works just as well...........

It will/can spread anywhere that their feet can reach so it is easy to spread around the mouth from licking and also around the eyes from rubbing the face against the feet....also can transfer from the feet to the ears/face.....you can use the monostat in the ears as well but be cautious around the eyes with it....

Jaxon- If the discharge you are seeing is blackish that is usually signs of earmites....if they shake the head and scratch enough it will become infected....the way to test this is to dig a little of the black gunk out and add a drop of water to it on a paper towel....if it turns the paper towel pink or red then you know you have earmites because the black stuff you see with ear mites is actually dried blood and ear mite poop...........yeast infections in an ear will be yellow/white discharge and but not dark brown or black............
