Ok, so I was looking more closely to Harleigh's incision and I think it's ridiculously long. Is it really necessary for them to open her up 4 inches? So 4 inches doesn't seem long  when I say it but on her belly, it looks long.

Maybe I am overreacting here, but wanted to ask anyway.

Also, it's bumpy....like it may heal bumpy. Kinda like a shotty sew job. Maybe I should take pictures....?

This one shows the length. I swear pictures don't do it justice. It looks like it takes up half her belly. I tend to overreact anyways.

This one shows the bumpiness. Just doesn't seem that it would ever go back to being smooth. Again, what do I know, right?

Thanks for looking.

Oh ya, Tink's was like that too, had the bumpiness, thought she was in trouble! The scar was also around that length, maybe a tad shorter. Just the other day i was checkin over her scars (*She has many!) And now its around the length of my ring finger? Its diffidently gotten shorter.

Lol, I'm with Barb, I would be hard pressed to find Samson's or Angel's scars....Even when we brought Tia home after her spay, it looked real good and faded away to nothing

It looks really good to me! I can't even see a scar on Maddie, sometimes I wonder if she was really spayed.

I had the same concerns with Maggie and actually just had her to the Vet yesterday concerning her incision sight.  Maggies looks much worse then Harleys however the Vet explained to me that the bumpiness was normal it's the internal stitches healing.  He says I won't be able to even see the incision once it heals completely.  He also suggested if I am worried about it I can break open a vit E pill and rub it on the incision sight....I am guessing he now understands I am a little over reactive as well.

i say better to overreact then to let something serious fester, i think it looks fine and in a few months you wont even be able to find it!

The bumpinees will definitely go away. As for the length I guess it would vary from vet to vet Veg's was baout 1-1 1/2 inch long and VERY bump but you can't even see a scar anymore.

Thank you for your "scar" stories. I just noticed today that one of the many bumps is pretty red. I am keeping an eye on it, and if it gets worse, then I am taking her in tomorrow as it looks to me like it could be infected.
