Just curious how long everyone fed their puppy 3 times a day? some have told me until 6 months and others have said before that. I honestly can't remember when I switched Chloe to twice a day feedings. I'm also a little concerned about his weight, 28 lbs at 15 weeks..I know that he's no longer too thin but he's gained like 3 lbs in a matter of 8 days. I can still see a few of his ribs but maybe I should cut back his food a little? I can't win here, it's either he's too thin or I'm worryin he's too fat lol..Chloe was always tiny as a puppy so I guess I'm just not used to having a bigger pup.

I have heard 3 times a day until 6 mos too; maybe he is just going through a growth spurt.  IMO if he is looking good I would continue to feed as you are, if he starts to look to heavy cut back a little on the food each time you feed instead of cutting back to 2 times a day.

I still feed my boy 3 or 4 times a day.  More smaller meals are actually easier for digestion and keep metabolism running more efficiently, ie less fat storage.   It's not the frequency, it's the amount.  I think most people feed twice a day because it fits their schedule.

I believe I saw that at 6 mos you can go to twice a day, but Sully has a good point, altho it may not work for all people tho...Don't forget, you are dealing with a male now and he will be bigger :)
