hi i just wondered if i could ask this question how many pups has it been known for a boxer bitch to have at one whelping . my boxer lady bugs had twelve babies . and nine survived my other boxer had nine all survived , iv been told of a bitch that had 13 . im just curious as books state 7/8

The average is around 6-8, but it does vary considerably.  The largest litter I've known of personally is 13, and I believe they all survived (the smallest, of course, is the singleton litter of one).

THANX GUYS  I APPRECIATE THE REPLIES . MY DAUGHTER SKYE IS FRM A LITTER OF TWELVE LADY IS HER MUM . UNFORTUNATLY THE THREE BEFORE SKYE DIED . ANGEL AND PETRA DIED SHORTLY AFTER THEY WERE BORN DISPITE MY VETS BEST EFFORTS THEY WERE JUST TOO WEEK TO SURVIVE AND NOT MEANT FOR THIS WORLD . AND LITTLE SOCKS DIED AGED TO WEEKS DUE TO SCEPTICEMIA . SKYE WAS ALSO POORLY WITH A SINUS INFECTION AND AWAS BOTTLE RAISED . THOUGH U WUD NOT THINK IT TO LOOK AT HER NOW

wev had litters of 11 and the most 13 ,i think we had 10 and they all survived with the help of bottle feeding x

There were 8 puppies in Tonka's litter.  One died at 4 weeks old.

Cactus came from a litter of 12.  One died because of deformities at birth- his back legs were not fully formed.  Another died because she was born out side and wasn't found in time.  The other nine, including two whites, are all doing wonderfully- except that Cactus has seizures.

in chloes litter it was 12 pups and all survive. she came from a breeder in arkansas

My old boxer Ruby had 8 puppies in each of her 2 litters, 1 passed during the first night in both litters.

I can't recall exactly, but I'm thinking Odin's litter was pretty small... I think only 3 or 4 pups, including Odin.
