I have a 6 year old boxer that started drinking a lot of water over the past week. We took him to the vets the day after Christmas because every time he drank he threw up bile. He also has some incontinent with his bladder. He has never peed in the house and now losses bladder control while sleeping. We did a urine sample that was negative for sugar but came back with bacteria in sample. He was put on antibiotics and a drug to keep him from throwing up. We also did a CBC and he has elevated levels of calcium. We got him to eat the next day but only a small amount. Returned to vets and did x rays that didn't show any masses or tumors. The x rays did show that his GI track was inflamed and other examinations show that his prostrate is enlarged. He is an intact male. He was put on a appetite stimulant and he is still only eating about 1 1/2 cups a day. He is still very sick and lethargic and is now having issues getting up on the couch. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we try to find out what to do next.
