My guy had surgery over a week ago for cysts removal on his head. The next day i had to call and go into the vet because it looked like he was bleeding at the site and we thought he pulled a stitch out during the night. Vet said it was just oozing and that was normal and he didn't pull any stitches. Gave him the antibiotics daily until they were all gone as instructed.
He's still oozing now. The surgery site looks like it's healing, it's scabby but it's still red. The vet is closed today and i keep reading online that you can't put hydrogen peroxide or neosporin on the site or it could impede the way it heals. I need help. Any ideas or advice? Is it infected?

I would be afraid to put anything around the site if he still has stitches I know Neosporin is ok to use on dogs I don't think putting peroxide on an open wound would be a good idea. I would call the vet in the morning when they open for advice.

You sound like a overly concern Mom..ha! Don't worry let it scab over, you could put a very light layer of Polysporin Not neo or no alcohol or hydro peroxicide..,. Polysporin
