Hi guys, i took maddy to the park today and people commented that she is small for her age.! She is 14 months now and weighs 49lb and measures roughly 21.5 inches to her shoulders. When we picked her it was quite obvious she was the smallest in the litter, so does this mean she will stay quite small for a boxer or is there still lots of time for her to beef up!? lol.
Any feedback on this would be great as she is my 1st boxer and i am unsure on what age they stop growing. The pictures are recent but dont really show her size that well but give a rough idea.
Thanks in advance :)

She sure is beautiful!  Our Pua isn't as big as our boys were at that age...but, that is to be expected, I think...she is a bit taller then Maddie...but, not as heavy...I think that weight is really hard to predict!  But, you sure have a beautiful girl there! :)

Thanks ever so much for the replies, when the people said she is small i was a bit shocked..Maddy's mum was a big boxer and her dad looked big in the photo they showed. To be honest even if she is going to be a touch small she is still my perfect girl. I think she was the runt but her personality is fantastic & her big brown eyes could melt anyones heart. I've added a few more pics for you all to see my beautifull girl :)

Again thanks for all the replies :)

I think Maddy is so pretty. My Lucy is just two months younger than Maddy and she is 22" and 47 lbs. I don't expect her to get much taller than that but I sure hope she fills out some -she is still pretty ribby.

my Bo is 13 months and just shy of 50lbs...and he's a boy...so he's pretty small as well...your girl is adorable...i agree I don't see how people can think boxers are ugly dogs...especially when compared to some of those hairless chineese crested dogs...or even those full furred pekingese...ick

I thik she is lovely! Love those Brindles  :) For her age, she really is right on track. Boxers generally quit growing taller by about 18 mos, then they start filling out..And it's all about proportions really, a female can be on the taller side, but as long as everything is balanced, she still will look good...Besides, I kinda like our "petite" Boxer Girls we have on here :)

I think the thing that throws people off about boxers is they are typically thinner than your average dog, and that gives them the appearance that they are smaller than they actually are.  Pitbulls aren't big dogs at all, they generally are shorter than boxers and weigh less.  But they tend to be thicker even when younger, and they give off the sense that they are much bigger than they actually are.  I think Oggie looks small but then I see him next my friends 100 pound lab and he's actually taller and longer than her!  Hes just not as thick.  Our boxers will most likely fill out as they get older and will seem much bigger even if they don't get any taller or longer.  I've also noticed that adult boxers have much bigger heads than younger ones, that also makes them look a lot bigger.
