So we have had it for awhile now. Month or two...I dunno. When we got it I of course I washed it. But it STINKS! uke:  So I washed it and washed it and washed it some more. I can't even keep it out. And of course Ace doesn't really care for it b/c I'm sure it tastes gross. Smells like...uh...rubber. Anyone else have this problem??

Yeah. I bought one for Max and he won't even pick it up. It's pretty smelly. Like they tried to scent it to cover up the rubber smell. Seems like wasted money to me.

I use cow hooves and they smell like the county fair. After about 10 years, you get use to the smell!
Mine would never play with the kongs.

Grrr....I spent $20 on the dumb thing! I thought it was like it was the Holy Grail for dogs :lol: I hear how everyones dog luuuvs them! Ace will lick the peanut butter out in the wink of an eye and then run away from it! And whoa his breath afterwards is awfull!!

So glad this question came up. I was going this weekend to find one because I had heard they entertain for hours with some peanut butter in them, but Abbey gets bored with her toys quick. I think I will stick to her ribeye bones. Dont need anything smelly.

take alittle peanut butter and put inside the kong.  then freeze for a while till its well frozen.  then they will go crazy for the kong...


...make sure when u give it too them its either being played with on lynolium, hardwood, or tile because PB is not easy to clean out of carpet...just ask my parents and their little ankle biter.....

I tried the peanut butter and he wouldn't touch it but I didn't try freezing it.

They def. do smell like rubber, but Major doesn't seem to mind the smell.  I also bought him a squeaky frog that wreaked of latex, and thats his favorite toy!
