Shaun lost Jessie!!!!!!   We were at a friends bday party and when we got home I asked Shaun to take her out!  10 minutes later he comes back without her!  I freaked out!  I wasnt even dressed.  I put on a robe and slippers and ran outside.  I ran to the corner and started yelling her name.   Mind you im half naked and crying hysterically in the middle of the night!  I swear if anyone came outside they would have sent me to the nuthouse!  After what felt like a life time, i turn around and see my pooch running towards me... I didnt run towards her, because I didnt want her to run the other way.  I stayed where I was and started praising her for coming back to me.  And she stopped right in front of me!  When I brought her back in the house I gave her about 100 treats and then we went to bed.  This whole time I thought that Shaun had just let her off the leash or something...   But it turns out that he put her leash on her tag instead of her collar and her tag ring opened up and she was able to get away... But still the fact that he walked in my house without my dog, shows the man has brass balls... He's lucky i didnt cut them off and make him eat them!

LOL!!!  yeah... i swear i cried for about an hour even after I got back in the house!
I would have freaked too, so glad it was a happy ending; good girl Jessie for coming when called.  I clipped to Kiah tags one time but was lucky becasue I was only putting her in the car and always take her leash off then.  No telling what would have happened if we were going for a walk.

Friday, Buster and Simba got out from my mom's house.  I didn't know about it...they were out looking for over 1/2 an hour...calling and calling.  Buster is a runner...always has been...only recently did Simba begin following...I was taking a nap before work and the vet called asking for my mom....my number is on the dogs' vet account because I take them in for her...I tell them that I can let her know if they need to get a message from her.  I guess a lady found Buster and Simba, couldn't read simba's tag, read buster's, but because my mom was out looking, she didn't get the call.  Then the lady read Simba's rabies tag and called petvet...from there they called me.  i called my mom who then called the lady who found our dogs...turns out, they ran to an area that they have never gone to before...across a busy street to another neighborhood...scary...but thankfully they got home safe too...it's sooo scary when they run away...thankfully, with my two...they don't run even if off leash...I'm glad Jessie got home safe..

OMG I'm soo glad that Jessie got back safely, I would have LOST it too. Last time he'll ever put the leash on the wrong loop though I bet!
So glad Jessie is home safe - I know I would have been terrified if that happened to my two. Ours are chipped but I always worry that someone won't care and would just keep them without trying to find the rightful owner.
glad jessie came home safe!! how scared you must have been!
So happy to hear Jessie is safe and sound! I couldn't even imagine the panic you must have been feeling, but I'm glad that she came running back to you. She knows she has it good!  :D
I freaked out yesterday when we were walking to our car and somehow maple started to run caught me off guard and her leash flew out of my hand, she is only 3 months old but runs like a champ, she doesn't really know her name that well yet and doesn't care to stop running once she is free, so i took off after her and just jumped on her leash to stop her, but it scared me just thinking what could have been! so glad your puppy made it back safely
Whew, my heart was racing just from reading your post!!! I don't panic over much, but my pups missing would put me over the edge  8O  We live on a VERY busy highway so for us it would be disasterous. Glad Jessie did the right thing and came to you, smart girl  :D  Hehe I bet Shaun learned a valuable lesson about where to clip on leashes
That's crazy, she ran off, Jetta won't leave my side with or without a leash.  One day my parents where watching her and they opened up the front door to let her out, and forgot about her, 20 minutes later she was right outside the door waiting patiently.
