This has bothered me all weekend, so I thought if I posted it would help clear my mind. Friday night local news featured a story about a 4 - 6 month old white boxer found shivering along side the road here. I have NEVER seen such a pitiful sight in all my life. Local shelter said he'd been kept in a SMALL crate (think cat sized) all his short life. Hunched almost in half, splay footed and soooo pitifully thin I couldn't believe he could stand on his own. When the shelter worker gave him a little pat he tried to kidney bean with joy and almost tipped over. BROKE MY HEART. I called the SPCA 1st thing saturday to offer to foster but they said he was "taken care of" whatever that means. I've seen over and over what the postive thoughts and healing vibes from here can do, so please take a second and send this poor little guy some love, he sure needs it.This is a small community and there is a reward for info on the owner so I'm hoping they find the sick SOB who did this.

That is terrible!!  I can't believe someone in their right mind could ever do that to another living being.  This infuriates me!!  We send all our kidney beaning love this poor little guys way.......

Hope he finds a great forever home.  What is ever done to these poor babies should be done to the owners as payback.

that's what's so endearing about this breed.  they have so much love and joy for ppl that their resilience to situations overcomes the bad they have received in life.

it sounds like someone has already spoken for the poor baby.  bet they got alot of calls.  hope they screen the potential owners well.

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts. I can't seem to get a pic in the posts of "peanut" (that's what the spca is calling him) but I was able to get one in my photo album. Poor, sweet little guy. We are going to try to find out more on Tues since the shelter is closed tomorow. I need a 3rd boxer like I need a 3rd leg but we'd be willing to give him a fresh start in life. His face and story have touched my heart. I at least need to know what happens to him, the "taken care of" comment was a little ambigous for me  8O I will definetly update as soon as I hear anymore.

Re: Local news, healing thoughts please UPDATE !

Good news today!!!! Kelly spoke with the spca and the shelter manager has taken Peanut home with her, will rehab for 3 - 4 months and then they plan on making him the shelter mascot if/when he fully recovers!!!! I LOVE happy endings and soooo hope this little guy gets the life he so richly deserves.
Thanks for all the good vibes, I really believe it helps. Special thanks to grammie for putting his pic in the post, you wouldn't BELIEVE how many times I tried to get it from my album to the post. Computer dummy here
