Hi I am new to this forum and have been searching for the perfect little boxer to bring home. I am having some difficulty finding one. I am limited in my budget to spend $300 and I know that there will be additional expenses with vet exams and such when I get one so I can't really go over that amount :) . I have looked at the Boxer rescue programs and have applied with one of them. Anyone close to Akron Ohio with a Boxer that needs a loving home?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I would recommend going through a rescue also. Good Luck in your search.

Ditto what everyone else has said..Rescue...I've rescued 2 & while neither were puppies,,Tia was 9 mos & Samson was 6 yrs, you can't ask for a better friend. Rescues are soo grateful for a forever home that to me they make the most wonderful pets & companions.

If you decide to buy from a breeder, you need to ask if both parents have been health tested.. A lot of us bought boxers and were not aware of these things & now some are dealing with serious health issues. You need to find out if the puppy has a health guarantee..Those are the key points, but if you go on the AKC website, it has a list of great tips..

Hope this was some help.
