Ha, Abby (our boxer) could care less about leaves and chasing things when walking. Brady though...our joke while walking is "Must...snnf snnnf snnf....sniff....snnf snnf....everything!" He chases, eats, plays with, jumps on, sniffs everything! He's crazy...But he's always tired at the end! ahhaha! Outside, he has a blast chasing and catching leaves that we throw for him...but you must be careful...he did development an eye infection and it may have been from the leaf crumblies getting in his eyes (may have also been from digging for chipmunks).
She also is obsessed with licking any still water on the ground... the kids next door have a basketball hoop in the street and there is always a puddle of water at the base of it... she tries to get to it like its all she is meant to do.
Beckham LOVES to chase leaves as well. It's crazy especially since it's fall so lots of leaves on the ground and it's been really windy here. My arm has almost been pulled from its socket many times this month On the other hand it's a great training opportunity and every once in awhile Beckham is able to contain himself and will walk right by them (with a lot of "leave it(s)" being said) But if any unfortunate leaf comes into the house, Beckham chops them up and will leave little spit piles of them lying around...
Lol, Angel considers Leaves "intruders", if a new one suddenly appears, she barks at it, then has to go check it out..Once she has determined that it's ok, she's fine, til the next one falls in her path
Ours love to chase leaves, birds and really anything in the yard that moves.
Our funnest story was with Calli. We had just moved to VA and the house had been open all day with the movers coming in and out. That night there were a ton of flies in the house. Calli spent several hours chasing them and eating them. When we went to bed she started jumping up toward the bed trying to get something. We couldn't see any flies but she wouldn't stop.....even when we were trying to sleep. So we turned on the light and found out that she was after the "fly" that was hanging on the pull cord for the ceiling fan. It was a little piece of dark metal and actually did look like a fly! 8O
