So it reached high 80's again so we took to the beach in search of cooler air, turns out Huntington Beach has almost a mile long stretch of "dog beach" they are allowed off leash, and there was a TON of dogs, Maple was so excited she didn't know what to chase first the dogs or the kids or the runners or the balls people were throwing for their dogs lol.  There were quite a few boxers we met which was neat there was one puppy that was her age that we actually let her off the leash so she could play with her.  For some reason she mostly kept trying to pounce on the smaller breeds and her favorites were corgis ha ha.   She was a bit weary of going in the water but once she'd get caught in a wave she'd start running through it like mad, all in all she had a great time and so did we, we were there for several hours got home around 7pm she had dinner went to sleep and woke up at 9am this morning lol.

Boxers + Beach= Fun!! I love taking Eddie to the beach. I also love how wore out he is  when we get home. The only bummer here though is that there are not many dog-friendly beaches and off-leash seems to be a big no-no. Oh well, we still love going anyway!

well it's an hour drive to the beach so won't be going all that often, with LA traffic it can easily turn into a 2 hour drive, but it's nice to have the option and I actually did not know that they had an "off leash" area at this beach so that was a nice surprise

That's how it is here  have MILES AND MILES of beach and they gave us like 100 yards for the dogs at the dog park/beach. Supposedly the base has dog friendly beach area but I'm not sure... I need to find out some how though!
