Nub log 310716:

We were asked to climb into a roaring machine;we love roaring machines!

After a change of position or 2 (we dont really have time concept) the road stopped and we climbed off the machine.

We entered a stranger`s house and while my foster mum and dad made weird noises we explored a new den and backyard;after a few wiggles, they disappeared...must be a game but we been there a couple times already :cry2:

We stayed in front of the door through which we think they disappeared patiently waiting for the game to end...but it didn't.

The stranger then took us for a tour of the new den then opened all kind of doors and strange places into which were tons of new scents...admittedly,we slobbered a bit.

He then took us outside for a quick walk around to check out things...we were a bit anxious, nothing was familiar except the beds...why are our beds in that stranger`s den?

He then put our collars and took us for a walk to the park...we know what walk and park means, but that was not our usual park...lotsa stuff to sniff and mark though!

Then it was back to the stranger`s den, exhausted we fell asleep.

Nub log 010816:

We woke-up at 3am...the stranger didn't seem to be happy about that,no idea why.

He fed us strange food, moist and smelly...good kind of smelly though...took us a little while to venture a bite but we were hungry,so we ate it...fulfilling!

He then took us for a walk at the park again, warf,we startin` to like this stranger.

But then he went away on a roaring machine...we dont like people going away on roaring machines so much anymore, usually a bad omen,so we let him know how we felt...wou-wou-wou :disgusted:

After a few toss and turns (that nice stranger has a comfy bed!) we heard the roaring machine come back...the nice stranger is back!

Happy about that we did the usual, kidney bean dancing, wiggle of the nubs, the works

The nice stranger then gave us fresh water with ice cubes in it,made us do some drills-we hate that but oblige as long as there are treats to be had-then took us outside while he put a leash on his roaring machine and put a bed over it  then he fed us some kibble...nice stuff,he must be a chef :chef:

After we relaxed and settle down a while he took us to the park-again!-

We came back to the den and went to sleep,exhausted-or so he tought.

Nub log 020816:

Woke-up at 3am,as usual.

The day went basically like a carbon-copy of the previous except for a small detail; after the park the nice stranger took us to a den where there were a lot of food, toys and dog stuff all over the place!
We had a hard time focusing on 1 thing, there was so many of them!

He made us do more drills...sheesh :crazyeye:

When came time to leave, there was a big wolf near the door outside,so we tried to tag team it with all of our might...didn't work, almost had the wolf...maybe next time.
The nice stranger didn't seem too please,we know he has treats in his pockets but we didn't had anymore that day....:cry_baby:

Nub log 030816:

The nice stranger dont seem too pleased to be woken up at 3am for the 4th day in a row...something about 4 hrs of sleep...cant quit understand human words...we dont know why,we wake-up and there is only 1 thing to do...

Its really hot outside...we want to go for a long walk but the nice stranger doesn't seem to want to...maybe he doesn't remember the old sayin that goes like:"a good boxer is a tired boxer."...and there is 2 of us...oh well,he is going to remember quickly

More drills but in the backyard :disgusted:

There are noises coming from front rear left and right in that den...wou-wou-wou! We ran to wherever the noises were coming on high alert all night...its exhausting you know,we eventually fell asleep...but not before the very nice stranger gathered our beddings that for a reason unknown to us were scattered all over the den.

Oh,we didn't wou-wou when he went away on his roaring machine or when he came back later...he seemed pleased.

Nub log 040816:

Same old,eat,sleep,drills...we got to get more treats this time though...

Still hot,but this time we went for a longer walk...we came back and the very nice stranger was alarmed about something...he tied us to the fence then hose us down for like a lifetime...we HATE the hose but after a while,it felt good and we were panting less and less...then he placed big wind machines on each of us and that felt even better!

We had plenty of water with ice cubes to drink,we ate then crashed hard, exhausted.

Nub log 050816:

Our evil plan didn't work, the very nice stranger was still up at our 3am scheduled mischief hour...:dontgetit:

Doesn't matter,4 hrs after we jumped into his bed and licked him until we got his attention...we were hungry!Gotta feed us!

He mumbled something about puppies schedules....no idea why, were not puppies.

Oh well.More leash drills...we must be doing something he likes because we got plenty of treats today!yay!

Went to the park twice,to some other places too,we played in the backyard, watched him do human stuff..kinda boring but he interest us that human.

The day flew by,we crashed on our beds that were at the same spot we left them.

Nob log 060816:

Park,treats,backyard,treats,park,treats...we ruv it!

Today we encountered a wolf again, but this time we decided to remain to what dad calls "sit/stay"...he spoke a little with the human holding the wolf and then we got double treats...yay :clap:

We will consider doing that again eventually...we got to debate that...but the treats...the treats

We had a Kodak moment today...chillin in the backyard, high humidity dropped, its hot but bearable and windy, they rrrrruv it

Anyways,they want to blog,so...pictures follow.

Nub log 070816:

Great day!

We let daddy sleep a bit more today (or was it accumulated exhaustion)...

We had a great meal,mayhemed the backyard a bit,wou-wou and scratched some,lick daddy some,wiggle butts and all;

We then went for a long walk, daddy led us into an enclosure where we were both alone and loose, did some usual boxer stuff, roughing up and grwoling and barking...you know...

We found a tennis ball,had a blast!

We encountered another wolf,I think we behaved ok...but when we got back home, a cat was in our backard....IN OUR BACKYARD!

To hell with behaving,we wont have it at all...it was ousted pronto.

Later on we had another long walk, eat sleep.

Nub log 080816(Marshall POV):

Same pattern but with a twist:

Today at the park we came across 2 mini wolves...daddy swore they were a carbon copy of us...they were pulling on their leashes a lot,we think they wanted to greet us.

He made us sit, then stay then lay down using treats (treats!) and kept our attention away from the mini wolves by dangling more treats in front of our faces and it worked rather easy...

But the mini wolves wouldnt have that but we think their human eventually did the same to gain a bit of control...we dogs are weak.

Then we went on our way with minimal leash puliing, daddy seemed pleased.

Later when time for bed came,Daddy invited one of us (Layla) in the bed with him for a little experience.

Daddy woke-up at his scheduled hr with Layla still at the same spot, sleeping.

Daddy was very pleased for 2 reasons:

1-He slept a whole night in 8 days
2-He pinpointed the culprit (gulp!) who was starting the whole waky-waky early thing.

Treats,walks to the park,good food,comfy...that's the life.

Oh,and drills

Nub log 090816:

Warf! We encountered another wolf at the park, one that has previously attack the former dog of daddy...somehow he was very nervous and did all he could to stay away from us...

We did good I think, daddy kept our attention with treats

Then back home, the neighbor had visitors that came with 2 small wolves....mayhem!

Daddy wasnt impressed but we eventually calmed down...we were already tired from the walk and playing at the park.

There is a human that keeps going out the backyard in the middle of the night and he is not stealth at all...in fact he slams the gate and seems to make as much noise as he can for no reason at all...we tried to explain to daddy that this is what is waking up during the night but he doesnt understand :eek:3

Wolves,wolves everywhere!

Today we left a surprise for daddy on the floor...when he entered the den we cowarded in a corner.:ninja::ninja:

He really wasnt impressed.

I think he mumbled something about not being able to point to a cuprit...and free pass.....oh well, thanks daddy!

Uneventfull stroll to the parks...boring,not even a squirrel

We need more distractions,it means more treats and praises

Anyways, upon our return to the den we noticed a biiig wolf in the next backyard...and is he a yapper.so we obliged. :gun::cat:

That one was not backing off though,so we had a virtual fight trough the fence until daddy came and direct us away from it...party pooper (too early for poop jokes daddy? okaaaay....)

Anyways, after a couple minutes daddy finally took our juice level down and we eventually layed down in the grass while the big wolf was still growling and yapping...

Daddy got grats from a neighbor that was watching the whole event, something about short lenght of time and the way we behave now and control...but its mainly us :headbang::hrtbounce:

40C with high humidity...we didnt sleep in daddy's bed ...way too hot

Not much to report today...boring hot and humid day again.

We are really liking these raw meals now, barely touching the kibble anymore but a dog got to eat so we oblige...cant wait till we get to the bottom of this bag!

There were tons of squirrels at the park >:D< but no wolves anywhere to be seen so we behaved...somewhat :boxr::boxr:

We layed down in the backyard grass for a while, nothing at all moved went or came....boxer bliss.

Heat is down...its been reaaaally hot since the 1st day we came into our new den...what a relief!

We are starting to form a pack with our human...errr....daddy.Not quit there though.

Our energy level is through the roof with this cooler temp,We think we never saw daddy this wide-eyed yet!:crazyeye:

We went for a 1.5 hrs stroll through 3 big parks and a tennis court for some loose time...didn't tired us one bit!

Daddy note to readers:

Here are a few quirks and stuff I`ve gathered in my 2 weeks with those 2 devils;

Marshall like playing with anything...balls, stuffed anything,tug-o-war...name it.

Layla doesn't play.

When I play with Marshall, she comes barreling down and bark like its an emergency.

Cant quit make out between Marshall`s 2 growls; keep in mind he`s supposedly resource guarding so when I want to play with a ball (which he doesn't bring back,of course) and take it from him to throw it again, he puts his paw on it and growl...think I saw a nub wiggling on a couple occasions but right now not taking any chances with my hand.
We are working on that (he is treats driven, its rather easy...were down to 1 in 2 attempts at taking his bowl w/o growling...progress!

Layla doesn't scratch that much anymore but when were back from the park she turns pink...hopefully its not a grass allergy.Vet comes back from vacations next week.

If I really need to get their attention I just have to say "treats" and most often than not,its bam! on their butts...but not always...we are getting there.Next step is no treats and obeying orders (note from the pouches:yeah right!).

Today its raining and we have yet to go for a walk...they are restless...seems they don't care about the rain....going out,we`ll see!

Nub log 130816:

Meh, its raining...a lot.

We don't care! Daddy thought we`d coward and want to stay inside but we got on our most rambunctious behavior, wrecked havoc, barreled in to him several times, throwing balls, growling and flapping ears; he gave up in the morning and we went for well over an hour, in hard rain...was a blast!

We repeated the same antics after meal time and well, went for a second shower :crazyeye:

kwazy boxer fun all around! No wolves squirrels or cats though, so we chased ourselves.

Oh, since we were alone in a safe place far from any humans and roaring machines, daddy unhooked us for a "test"...twas fun but unconclusive...we could hear him calling something or someone but we are not sure so we continued running and roughplaying with each other for a little while then went back to him when he stopped calling

LOL ... they actually like the rain??? Struddell would try and dodge "rain drops" and was not to crazy about windy days either!

Strangely enough ... she luv'ed the heat and did not mind the cold .. as long as I was with her and I did not keep her out in the cold long.

So that kinda "fickleness" was what I was used to ..."Rocky WL GSD" was quite a change?? "All Weather Dogs" high winds and the rare occasional hard rains mean "nothing to him." We go for walks in the worst parts of the winters here! No stray dog encounters on those walks. :)

But the trade off for the "utter disregard" for weather, does seem to be a lack of "goofiness." :(
