Harleigh got spayed today and you wouldn't even know it (while she was out on the surgery table they micro chipped her too). I thought this was going to be a nice quiet evening since she would be out of it. Nope! She got out of surgery 5 hours ago and she won't stop. She has eaten, rang her bell to go outside several times, goes up and down the stairs fine, walking from room to room. I put her up on the couch (her fav spot) to let her lay low, and that lasted about 2 minutes and she jumped off. I am worried she is already doing too much. She doesn't even seem like she was ever drugged. She is as bright eyed and bushy tailed as ever. They must have put caffeine in that IV drip.......

Do you think she can handle the stairs, or should I carry her down?

Oh and due to this normal behavior I am bummed I can't get "drugged up" pictures of her. She doesn't even look pathetic enough...argh!

Good to hear she is doing well, do your best ( ) to keep her quiet; you don't want her to pull her stitches.

Thats how dungy was lol... I went to pick him up from the vet and they were having trouble controlling him.  He was jumping all over the place and they were like " i have never seen a dog so crazy after surgery" then they gave him to me and said good luck keeping him quiet lol

I'm glad she's doing alright.  When I had Rocky's done, he wouldn't even go outside.  It seemed like it pained him to move.  I remember I slept with him on the floor all night then in the morning he wouldn't move.  I cried my eyes out because I thought something was really wrong.  Later that day though he was back to his normal self.

lol... the funniest thing was i took him in at like 7 am and there was a big snow storm so i was like the only person that brought my dog so he was done real early.  I ended up picking him up at 12... i would have thought he would still be knocked out lol

My dog was very hyper and hungry after he got fixed.  He refused to listen to the vet, and he tried to run, jump, play, eat, drink, etc.  He just wouldn't lay down.  I ended up having to crate him for like 3 or 4 days to allow stuff to heal

Ya my Trixie got spayed yesterday too, and she's not been nearly that crazy. She slept around all day yesterday and today she's been sleepy too. She didn't have enough to eat when I gave her pain meds and so she puked a total of like 5 times and had diarrhea   I felt so bad. But I gave her more food and she's doing better. Even got a toy out. So u're lucky u've had no problems!
