is in big trouble!! :) it just must be my week. Samson broke the dang window in the mud room today  :x  glass was all in the kennel and i had to get it cleaned out. Now i have to replace the stupid window and then find a way to block off that area so that it wont happen again. Any ideas? The window is on the side of the house in the back yard. All three dogs stand on the door to the basement and whap at the window if they dont want to be outside. since it is all concrete around the door to the basement i dont have a way put up any sort of fence in the ground. Any ideas for blocking this bad boy...i odnt want to have to buy another window!!

Andrea, take a pic of the area so I can see better...Buck & Tia did something like that...They smashed the window in the garage that looked out to the front yard(they were trying to get to the mailman)...We made a barrier so they couldn't jump up there, but need to see what you are contending with before I give some thoughts.....Just glad that no one was hurt :)

Sorry, but I would have LOVED to see the postman's face when he saw that happening...

All the dogs with run up on the basement door and throw their front paws on the window...check out the mud room and then go run off just to repeat it again and again. They find enjoyment in this for some reason!!

Eimear, I wasn't there, but my neighbor across the street saw the whole thing. He just stood in the middle of our yard in shock  I was afraid he would actually refuse to deliver mail after that, but no worries :)

So I get home today and the glass guy never came!! WTH??? I also found that Reese cut her neck  8O nothing deep or serious, but i am applying neosporin. There were a few pieces of glass i couldnt get out of the frame and apparently she poked her head in and was looking and nicked herself  :? So i called and b****ed the people out and they are sending someone over to take care of it at no additional charge for after hours. Here is two pics of how the basment door is compared to the window, if ayone has ideas on how to block all would be appreciated. Please excuse how dirty it is...it rained for the past couple of days and when them running and jumpig it is completley dirty. another weekend chore

So, they did this from the inside, right Andrea? If there is a bit of a window ledge, you can do what we did, took a piece of lattice(big piece) and put it up against the window(on the inside) so it was like 3 inches higher than the ledge..We didn't attach it to the drywall or anything, just leaned it up against the wall and it worked like a charm. The piece of lattice keeps them from getting their paws completely on that ledge, hence they won't be pushing on that window anymore..The sheer weight of having 2 or 3 60 lb dogs throw them selves against a window will in time, weaken it, that's what happen with us and sounds like the same thing happened ot you...Hope this helps you
