2 female boxers, one male Doxie. Tink is the alpha by far, but Maddy knows when to put her foot down. When tink is mouthing me or anything, Mad will come up to her and smack her in the face with her paw. I think Mad is secretly the alpha :p

Binga is for sure the alpha over Bear...    I don't think it will stay that way though.  Since Bear is still a baby Binga is bigger than him and is constantly standing over him and putting her paw on his back.  If she gets too rough he runs and hides behind me.  Bear is going to easily outgrow her so I'm curious what will happen then.  You never know...   I may be surprised.

My hubby is the alpha over the house though.  The dogs listen to him better than me.  I think its the deeper voice...   or maybe because I'm a pushover.  Haha.

I think Milo is the alpha, but only because he's bigger than Kaci. They are both pretty alpha though. She'll be sure to let it known if Milo does something she doesn't like and I think most toy fights are started by her...but it's hard to tell because Milo over powers her once the fight has started.

*I say fight, but they have never hurt eachother nor have they ever drawn blood.*

Delilah is the alpha.  Felix is still young but I don't think he will be challenging her for top position.  He is very confident but calm and submissive around all the dogs he meets. Well, calm until he decides they are good playmates! We go to the petstore and he just hops around like a loony and everyone laughs at him.. haha

At first, I really thought that Bo (after my husband, then myself) was alpha. He was rather protective of his toys and bones... but...as Jetta is growing, she is showing some of the signs that she is taking that spot.  She has begun to stand over him, she will take toys out of his mouth (and he's beginning to not growl at her for it) and she is the one to initiate play.  I think by the time she is full grown, she will have become the alpha.

Samson is definitely Alpha, but so is Angel, she however defers to him, so if he wasn't here, no doubt she would take over that role :)

Well I have a Boxer and a Chihuahua... unfortunately the Boxer is NOT the alpha! OMG it's hilarious though!!
  That's FUNNY!!  What does the little dog do - bite the boxer's ankles??

I have a boxer and a lab.  The lab is definitely the alpha.  He's 11 years old, set in his ways, and demands his rightful place.  TG, Duke is more than happy to accomodate him-what a sweetheart he is.  :)

I used to think our 2 year old 70lb. male boxer, Harley, was the alpha.  But our 6 month old male, Diablo, who is weighing in at a mere 35lbs. is by far taking the title of alpha!! It cracks us up to see the dynamics of the little guy...overall, when mom and dad talk, they both know who is in charge!! I'll be honest, its usually the other half. Im a sofite when it comes to my boys...

When we had two females Calli was for sure the alpha, when we added a third female she was also the alpha over the other two.  The other two faught each other for second position, neither of them challenged Calli.  When Calli died the other two jocked back and forth for top spot but neither really was alpha.  Now we have a male and female and Teaki will let Zig know when she has had enough and puts him in his place.  However Zig always goes out first and comes in first.  I think Teaki lets him because he is so much bigger than she is.

I've learned that "alpha" is a fluid thing, depending on what a particular dog thinks is important at a particular time. :)  Overall, when push came to shove, Nettie was my alpha - but she was a true alpha, who never had to 'flex her muscle', as it were; she taught me a lot about the many myths about canine dominance and hierarchy.  Now that she's gone, Emma has stepped into the role, but she's not quite as secure in it as Nettie was and can be a little pushy at times.  (She's younger, though, and hasn't had any litters; in a few years she might be more sure of her position.)

Hanna rules the roost even tho Kash is the one with the nads.  However he is starting to defend himself a bit more esp when it comes to marrow bones and bully sticks.   Hanna thinks EVERYTHING is hers.  K is a big mush of love!

Mo, my female, is definately the alpha dog.  She is younger than Niko but was here first, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.  I also just brought my new puppy home (I will post pics later) so we'll see if he takes over when he gets older.
