Hank often dreams - complete with kicking, snoring, yelping, etc ❤
Tonight, the kitty was acting odd next to Hank and I could hear Hank in his dream state. I wanted to catch the interaction on video and in the dark opened up my camera. I saw that he wasn't sleeping and was shaking and wobbly. When he finally got up then he couldn't walk straight. I got a short bit of it on video. Any thoughts? He seems to be doing okay now. My poor boy. He is almost 9 and other than allergies (which y'all have helped tremendously) I believe is healthy. Thank you! New video by S. Foos
Oh no poor boy! I would definitely show that to the Vet for sure. Has he ever done that just getting up from sleeping? That does kinda look like a seizure its definitely something wrong there. Its a good thing you filmed that because its much easier for the Vet to see it for themselves. I would keep a close eye on him all weekend until you can get an appt.
No history seizures that I've ever seen or noticed. He sometimes struggles to get up but It looks differently than last night. Thank you for the insight
Has he had seizures in the past? I would take him to the vet to get him started on medication ASAP if seizures. My sister’s boxer had similar episodes. Turned out to be a mass growing on her brain. It could be serious. I would go to the vet.
I was just thinking one of my female Boxers had at one time upon getting up from sleeping started staggering around and to make the long story short she turned up with AIHA which is an auto immune disease. Her blood count was very bad so maybe see if the Vet wants to do blood work on him.
So sorry to read that, prayers and best wishes for a good outcome.
video reminds me of bassett hound we had many years ago. Developed seizures when older but to be honest not sure his age, possibly 7+. Turned out to be epilepsy. Medication helped for a while.
I am SO SORRY! Poor Boy! I know you must be devastated did they ever say what might be wrong with him? Did the Vet have any idea after watching the video what it might be? Again I know you must be devastated and we are sorry to hear this
Hanky's parents, I too, am so sorry for your loss, no words can really help, dang that is heartbreaking. It's so hard, most of the folks here have been through the devastation, prayers are with you and your family. RIP Hanky
