My two boys were playing outside and Henry bodyslam Marx.He went down and I thought he is OK.But he stagered to me like he is drunk and then he collapse.His gums were pale!I carried him home and his gums are getting little more pinker.Do you think he just knocked the wind out of Marx?What should I

If his gums are pink or gettin pink again i would think he would be fine. If they stay pale then he needs to see a vet. Hey may have just had the wind knocked out of him

It sounds like he was just knocked to hard and got the wind knocked out of him.....that is kind of common in larger pups/dogs when they play rough....just watch and make sure things are improving...it normally only takes about 20 minutes for them to feel back to complete normal after that....

I am happy to report that his gums are nice and pink again a he wants more cookies!!!!!
It was sure scary,he wasn't trying to catch his breath but was just wobbly and seemed disoriented.
The boys are exactly 6 weeks apart but Henry is 55.5lb and Marx just 37lb.So he can really do some damage.He only gets raff outside!OK I can breath again woohoo :lol:

white gums are SO scary!  vetty had those once from pain and her gums looked like chicken fat.  very frightening!!

glad marx is back to normal.  silly boxers LOVE to body slam  :roll:

Called my vet just to let her know what happened and she wants to check Marx's heart.His little sister died suddenly month ago from heart defect.His parents were both holter monitored and were good,but I guess it is no 100% guarantee that all puppies will be healthy.She just wants to be sure we don't miss anything.She didn't like the fact that his gums were pale.

That's a smart move by your vet...Better to be safe...Obviously even coming from health tested parents, there are things that still can happen, but still I would rather take my chances going that way than with the unknown..Let us know what the vet says

Yep good move!!!  You never know!  Your first thought is that it is something simple and always better to check the more important things

Sounds like a checkup is a good idea since his little sister died.  I hope that someone let the breeders know so they can decide whether or not to breed that pair again.
