Well, Cooper is acting like nothing happened.  He has recovered very well from the surgery.  It took over a day for the meds to wear off.  But once they did, he was back to wanting to play full tilt!  The funniest thing is since the surgery, he has done a couple things he has never done before.  He humped my leg and my wife, and he kicked his legs after peeing (you know, the cover-up kick).  I know his hormones are completely out of whack, but both of these things are usually associated with higher testosterone levels, I would think.  Thanks for all the well-wishes.  Cooper appreciates them, too.

they say they can still father puppies for a week after the neuter, and that it takes about a month for the testosterone to wear off...

Glad he is getting back to himself.  Its 3 weeks today that Keegan got neutered and just noticed he just squatted for the first time since I got him.  It could be that he has done it before I got him or the circumstances (he had to go really bad) but i thouhgt it was funny.

Cooper squatted to pee up until about a month ago.  I hope he goes back to squatting.  It's so much quicker because it's all done at once instead of marking this tree, marking that tree, sniff this tree, mark it, etc.  He was sort of in the middle of the transition from squatting to hiking so hopefully he'll go back pretty easily.

Glad to hear Cooper's surgery went well. Poor guy looks pitiful with that Elizabethan collar on...

When I first put the collar on he was fine until the collar clicked.  The he freaked out and stood on his back legs and tried to scrape it off with both his front paws for about 15 seconds before I could get ahold of him and calm him down.  Luckily, he didn't have to wear it too long.

Awww, look at Cooper with his collar...He looks soo sad.....Glad he's doing well after his surgery...The thing with the feet after peeing, like they are a bull getting ready to charge, they have sweat glands in their paws, it releases a scent, another form of marking :) Both of my males have done that
