My Oscarito is very sick.   I contact my vet yesterday about his coughing  but he told me to wait 2-3 days that it may go away but itself. Today I left him home for 1 hour alone I got home and I was shocked the way he looked. He couldn't stay on his feet and he was very hot. Mu husband took him to the vet right away. Oscar had 105 fever . The doc prescribe him Batryil 68mg once a day and he said that we should sea difference on the third day..... One hour after Oscar took his pill he throw up and look even worse for me  :( I call my vet again he told me to give him Pepcid 10 mg and after an hour his medication again if he will continue throwing up I have to take him on emergence. Poor Oscarito is sleeping now I need to wake him up at 7;15 in order to give him medication again..  :(   I feel so bed for him  hope he will be better tom.

Oh sweetie im so sorry he feels so badly..thats awefull !!! i wouldnt wait too long..if he seems that bad still id take him right back in..

i hope he feels better...sending prayers your way
105 is a high fever and the Baytril is a good drug for that....It tends to work well with food in the belly.  Did they say what they thought was causing the fever since fever=infection??
            My husband took oscar to emergency room we couldn't wake him up for his medicine at 7:15 I'm really scared I wrap him in his blanket but he pee and pee and pee I never saw him peeing so much at once. The vet told my husband that is a bad cold and that's why he has his fever. Thank you guys for support.
I am so sorry... I understand how you feel!!! Don't worry, Oscar will feel better!!! Please keep us updated :( :( :( :(
I am soooooo sorry about Oscar!!! I will be praying for you and Oscar. I can't imagine how scary this must be for you. I know he will get better. Its just hard to wait when they seem so bad off.
Poor baby, I hope he can keeps his meds down so he can get better.
Poor boy!   :(  I hope he has a restful night and feels better in the morning.
My husband just call me Oscars fever was 106.7 right away they did cold bath for him and now is 104 helps a little bit. They will do x-ray for him they think it may be pneumonia( I'm not sure if I spell it right)  but they not sure. His oxygen % was 80 which is bad to. Definitely he has to stay over the night. The doctor told Maciek ( my husband ) that if we would wait till the morning that could be to late for Oscar. They also ask Maciek whats he wants them to do. In our heads when you translate that in Polish its kind of scary. Of course I want you to do what ever is in your power to save my boy.

im so sorry to hear about oscar. I will pray for him and you. Keep thinking positive and he will be better soon.
Poor poor baby, I will keep him in my prayers Thank God you had the good sense not to listen to that vet. I am a nurse and I always tell patients to trust their instincts when it comes to making decisions about our health. Same holds true for our dogs, you made a wise call with your baby and hopefully you saved his life. God will be good to your little one, he better be, he has this entire forum to answer to, and most of us are women. And nobody messes with us girls.
oo jeez sweetie im so sorry...im so so glad you brought him back ...i think what the vet meant was what do you want them to do meaning money....some people cant afford the days of staying there and all the meds and care..so they wanted to make sure i guess which is hard on both ends...the vet wants to make sure they are going to get paid...you want your boy healthy...

i will be praying for his safe and quick recovery...please keep us updated..and yes after this please find a new vet...i know quite a few people in the BX and Brooklyn ..i can ask around for you on who they use...
Poor Oscar!  Prayers for a quick recovery!

Our boxer Calli had pneumonia three times in her last two years (one right after surgery).  It does scare you to see them like that.  She was much older than your Oscar but after a couple of days in the vet office it was amazing, she was so much better.  We had to carry her in when we took her and thought we lost her but we got her there in time and she recovered quickly.

I agree...they said the same thing to me: "what do you want to do". It's like what do you think?! Here's my Credit card... do what you got to do just save my baby!!! :) Thank God for Credit cards!!!

Please keep us updated on his condition.
i am so sorry about oscar! i hope he recovers quickly, i know how scared you must be, sometimes it is scarier for me when sumya is not well than it is when my daughter is not well. she can talk and tell me what is wrong and where it hurts our fur babies cannot. sending boxer hugs and kisses to you and Oscar!
