Lexie is a wonderful name and se looks like she's right at home with you.  I too have a great affection for silvers and I think it's wonderful that you brought her into you home when you did.  She is a real beauty!!!

Have you heard anything yet!!!  Hope you get her.  A three year old isn't able to care for a dog.  Buy her stuffed animal that her parents can't abuse and take the boxer home with ya!!!

Oh my bad, I read little girl as a 3 year old - anyway - hope it all works out for you and maybe the little girl could come over and help walk the dog or just socialize him/her.  A win-win situation for both the dog and the little girl.  Good luck and keep us posted.
