Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family, most especially for the safety and well-being of your twin granddaughters.

This really touches me to see a out reach for prayers and positive vibes in a boxer forum. I'm sending my vibes out for all those in need, weather it's for your pet or a personal matter in your life. May your angels lift you up and help you through your difficulties.

Thank you all so much. Our church is still praying for the twins too. I guess sometimes you dont understand why things happen. God has His reasons and we just have to hang on tight. I think the hardest thing I ever did was go back to church after the girls were gone. We used to go together every Sunday, and Michelle sang in the choir. I go and think..Im still here Lord. Its funny sometimes how and when God speaks to us. I was in KMart and a complete stranger and I started a conversation. It turned into me telling about my daughter and the twins and this young girl told me her story and told me that my daughter would come crawling back when she has no one else to turn to. I think this was Gods wayof telling me to have faith and patience. I just have to believe that the twins have angels watching over them for now. I wish I could give everyone a hug here in this forum. Thanks again

Hey guys ..

My partner Jordan has been diagnosed with a kidney disease for the last few years now. Basically his kidney cells are deteriorating, fast. He's been on different medications to try and slow the process down, but it's inevitable - his kidneys will fail. He sees a specialist every 6 months, and he had an appointment 3 days ago.

After looking at Jordan's blood work this week, the specialist told him he his kidneys will fail before the end of this year.

Because of he nature of his disease the specialist believes that a transplant will not work. So, his only option is dialysis.

He's 26.

Neither of us know much about dialysis. The more research we do, the more we wish we didn't know.

We are meeting with the specialist team next month to figure out where to go from here.

I am scared. He's really scared. It's at times like this I wish I lived much closer to home.

Thanks Lynne, it means a lot to hear that. The support is much appreciated. I guess my biggest question (from the limited research I have done) how long can he live on dialysis for? Maybe there is no concrete answer that can be given, but that's what's racing through my head. Is his life going to be shortened?

He's very healthy. You'd never, ever know he has any sort of a disease, except if you'd see him slam his handful of pills in the morning. He works harder then anyone I know. He has an unlimited amount of energy. So, I guess him being diagnosed for the last few years hasn't really been problematic, so to speak, we haven't really thought about it much. But now, with this news his (our) world has been rocked .. I just can't wait to see the specialist and find out what we're up against.

Hope all goes well with your loved one. My friend's sister also had to go through dialysis and their family was able to find a support group that they can lean on for support. It also provided them with valuable information on how to deal with kidney problems on many levels. And, of course, this forum is all ears if you need to vent, cry, etc... Please keep us posted.

I posted this in my pet cancer support group and thought I would share here

I want to take a minute to thank the Great Spirit, The Creator, God, Allah, Yahweh, The Higher Power, or what ever else you call the one you believe in for listening to me and being there for a comfort for all of us. Thank you for giving me another day with Gouda and all others extra time with their beloved furkids. I am truly blessed. Be there for those who need you in their time of pain. Surround them with your white loving light and comfort them.

Katie, I am so sorry to hear this news, but, take heart... I have a friend who's husband is going thru the same thing. They are a young couple also. He goes for dialysis I think she told me 3 times per week and he does great. To look at him, you would never know he is sick. According to what she told me, they won't do a transplant yet because he is so young and the kidney would only last so long and then he'd have to have another transplant. Please take heart and don't be so afraid. The Good Lord will be with both of you all the way. My prayers go out to you both. Hang in there! Their are wonderful new things being done every day for this disease. You will never be alone....Chin up!

Hey All,
Just wondering if you could all say a small prayer for myself and colleagues. I know this is not much to think about in regards to other people's posts but our union talks have broken down with the company and my job is now in limbo. I won't know for sure until the end of the month, but there may be a possibility that I get laid off :(

So please pray that they can resume talks and come to an agreement. In the meantime I am looking for a back up. Perhaps it may be time to change things up a bit but it's a little stressfull for me. Especially because we're supposed to be getting married this September :(

Thanks guys! :)

I was wondering if everyone could pray for my best friend of 30 years Lisa and her partner Trip. Trip hasnt been feeling well an after really weird numbers on her bloodwork and finding blood in her stool they did an scope to check things out in her stomach etc. She had lap band surgery a few years back and they thought possibly something developed there. Well they found the source of the bleeding, a mass near her lap band. They took a biopsy while in there and it looks like more surgery to remove the mass. They have been together 20 years and Lisa is more family to me then my blood relatives, I can feel how scared she is. Any positive vibes or prayers would be greatly appreciated
