yep...I've been holding everything at face level for him since Fri.....I so don't want a spinal tap....UGH...sooo painful......he's only been my lil buddy for a couple of weeks!!! he is so pitiful!! i just wanna SCREAM!!!!!owenowlsnest said:I'm just speedreading through this thread. I have Gus who's been treated for SRMA (sterile meningitis). If that's a possibility they'd do a spinal tap and know by the protein and some kind of white cells in the fluid. The neck and spine can be extremely painful. If you could bring the bowls up to his face, he won't have to bend his neck. Symptoms lying around, lethargic, walking with his head down at a funny angle. There was screaming in pain (broke my heart) until they started him on the prednisone, and some Tramadol. Within 24 hours of the medication he started to improve, and I was so very glad to see it.
Sending prayers that answers come soon.
That was definitely me Twice! Dozer has two discs that is too close in his back, if he moves certain ways he injures them. He gets so lethargic he won't stand, yelps when we stand him up, won't eat, won't drink, glazed eyes, temp, everything you described Terri. Im sorry I didn't post sooner I didn't see this until now. They put Dozer on prednisone each time and within 24 hours he was doing better....Best of luck, I hope Tux starts feeling better soon, we're sending our healing vibes.samsonsaunt said:Yes, Christine; I think it was Cheryl (Roxy07) with her Dozer. Not 100% positive though.msdiamonddawg said:Did someone else on this forum not go through the same kind of symptoms and it turned out that the dog did something to their back. I'm sure I remember something along these same lines?
Terri; glad to hear that Tux had a poopy and drank some water finally. I really am praying for answers and positive outcome for you all at the Vets's tomorrow. [-O<
