Pua had her spay surgery today...she's obviously hurting...but, she did fine and we're happy to have her home!  Poor dolly girl...her tummy looks so sore!
Sharon~ is there anything we can give her for pain?? She seems so miserable!

Just wanted to let everyone know!

Aww, poor little girl....How about a heating pad Jeanene? Can you use that? I honestly don't know about pain meds, but I'm sure there must be something you can give her...Hoping her big brothers are being nice to her
here's to a quick recovery :)
I haven't let them anywhere near her, because the first thing they did was go for the stitches...she's not licking them, but they would!! Poor Mic...he's beside himself...and beside her...he climbs into the crate next to her and gets as close as he can! :) Of course he's been wondering where she was all day!

I may try that heating pad...I don't know if she'll let me, though...she's sleeping now, so we'll see...hopefully she feels MUCH better in the morning...but, I have the day off anyway...and Daddy has Friday off, so she won't be alone.
I'm a new boxer owner so I don't know much about what you could give Pua.  But, Sir Remi and I sure hope she gets well soon!!

Hugs&Kisses

aww poor little Pua, I hope she feels better soon, how long was she at the vet for?....I'm probably going to get Gaby done sometime in the future, so I'm curious as to how long the whole process takes.
Aww, sending Pua tons of speedy healing vibes! hope she is feeling better soon. Poor baby  :(

Well, they had her come in this morning at 8am and surgery was done around 11am...I picked her up after 4pm...if she was having a hard time, they'd have kept her overnight...but, I guess they thought she was doing fine...stable...just uncomfortable! It's no fun to watch either...but, there are benefits!
Good Luck Pua!

Oh good i'm glad it's only day surgery under normal circumstances, I can't stand being separated from my baby even if it's only for one night, but I would if she had to be there overnight, as I know it would be best for her...only the best for my baby!
I've had several dogs spayed in the past.  Just make sure she stays quiet as long as possible.  I know that's a tall order for a boxer, but you don't want her ripping out her stitches.  Crate her, if necessary.  A little short-term misery is worth the long-term gain.

Yeah...I know the feeling...I was ready to pick her up by 2PM when I got off work...but, she needed the rest and observation...it's hard to leave them...she was SUCH a good girl! So sweet...I was really happy when they said she could come home...
be careful with the heating pad, use it only on low and dont leave her on it, lay it on her..it can burn her, even on low.  best to use some kind of water heated blanket.  I used to work emergency critical care and we saw ALOT of burns from heating pads.  good luck with her, most will just sleep it off and you'll be surprised how spry she will be soon!!

I wish her a speedy recovery.

Was just talking to my wife last night we needed to start thinking about Britney and her spaying... I think 5- 6 months seems like the best time before they come into their first heat. It looks like you also worked on the similar timeline.
Sharon...any pain hints...she looks so sad...
Poor Pua!  :(  I hope she is feeling better real quick.
As far as the pain meds, I don't really know if you would want to give any. They may mask the pain a bit and she may want to do things she shouldn't be doing. I would just let her hang out in her crate and rest. Of course, you will have to baby her and love on her for a while, but I don't think she or you would mind that too much.
I'm sure little Miss Pua will be feeling better in no time. Gentle hugs from myself and maddie.  :)
How's Miss Pua doing this morning?
Awww, poor Pua!  Hope she's feeling better soon!
