I just enrolled Sadie for puppy classes!! I'm so excited to go  :p  They don't start until Oct.20th so still a ways away, but I'm looking forward to it! Should be great for her socialization and for her to meet some little friends.

Have many of you gone to "puppy kindergarten"? If you have, how was it?

BTW she is doing very well, and getting SOO big!! I'll have to post some more pics soon...

Congratulations on getting her into puppy classes.  My hubby use to teach "puppy kindergarten" as it was known then.  It's lots of fun and it's great socialization and with a good trainer you'll have tons of fun.  Hope to see some pictures of Sadie soon.

I have never been to puppy classes. Probably should have with Buck, I waited til he was almost a year before starting obedience..It should be  alot of fun and definitely try to get pics, which is hard unless you have someone else going with you, plus the instructor may not want the distraction

We took Chloe to puppy kindergarten and had so much fun! Seeing all the puppies on their last day with their graduation caps on was adorable but at the same time sad because I ended up getting close to a few pups there. You are gonna have a ball!

Thanks for the replies, good to know that the puppy classes are worth it!

I'm sure she will learn loads in her classes, we're looking forward to them! So far she can sit, give paw, and come(come is still a bit rusty  ), we are now working on the lie down...having a bit of trouble with that one, but the puppy classes will help with that. I think the socialization will be great as well. It's hard now since she hasn't had all of her shots, she can't meet any doggy friends. We're trying to get her to meet as many people as possible though. She met her first group of kids today at the park, and she did so well! All kisses no bites or jumps!! For such a young baby she is SUCH a good and smart girl!

I've attached a pic from last night of her and Daddy...I hate to admit it but I think he's her favorite   . I am still fighting for that title though lol

we took betty to puppy class and have her enrolled in the next level which starts on oct. 6.  puppy class was a lot of fun! and there was a little french bulldog puppy that almost gave me a heart attack because it was so cute.  betty was really good until the last day.  she was such a little jerk on the last day...but i thought it was funny :) it definitely helped us with our training too.  it really showed us what we needed to be doing differently and what was working too. highly reccommend classes, if not for anything else to socialize the dog :)
