Hi! I have an (evidently) excitable puppy who has gotten in the habit of peeing whenever she meets someone new or hasn't seen in a while (along with regular jumping and high levels of energy - no barking at least). Please, is there anyone who's seen/found resolutions for this kind of behavior? She's 12 weeks old atm, and I'm looking for ways to socialize her better! Thanks!

It is called submissive urination and you can help her with it by bringing the anxiety level down. It will take time and some work. Ways to deal with it are to make sure you potty her right before the company is coming have her waiting quietly in her crate when people arrive. Leave her in the crate for the first 15-30 minutes of their visit so she is remaining calm. Have everyone sit down and relax themselves. When you let her out bring her out slowly to the company. Maybe use a squeeky toy to keep her attention on you as you she follows you into the other room. Ask everyone to please not talk to the puppy and to just let her come and touch you. Then tell them that after a few minutes of this they may SLOWLY rub the dog on the side of her cheek, neck and shoulder. This is very calming for dogs. Then they may initiate talking but need to do so very SLOW and calmly. Not OMG LOOK AT THE CUTE PUPPY! OH YOU ARE JUST THE CUTEST PUPPY EVERY!!! That will excite her too much and she will urinate.

Dogs jump because they want to get close to people and our hands are the thing they really wish to smell and touch so bringing them lower and bending down help the dog get to know us in the way that makes sense to them. If you have some really good people who will work with you on practicing this it will really help her.

Sadie did this as a pup and occasionally still does if she gets really excited. What we did to help it was...take her outside to greet people like Nano suggested. Also when she started peeing we had the person ignore her so that the peeing wasn't rewarded with petting and attention.
For the jumping part, we find if Sadie is well exercised and the more tired out she is the less she will jump up on people...also not making a fuss when people arrive at your home is very important.

My 13 week old boxer currently does the same thing. Everytime we have family/friends over he gets so excited and pees on the floor. He has even done this to me when I come home. I have found that asking my visitors to ignore him for the first 5 or 10 minutes when they first come over he calms down. I do the same when I first get home. After that I allow them to pet or play with him and he is fine and no more puddles on the floor or their shoes!
